Putting Nigeria’s floating informal settlement on the map with ODK

Makoko is a floating informal settlement in Lagos, Nigeria. It is home to some 300,000 people, but it doesn't officially exist. Code for Africa is changing that by using ODK Collect to put Makoko on the map.

Thanks to @VMG0 for sending this video my way. As she says, it's a "a great example of why mapping & real world data are so critical to reduce demographic invisibility of entire communities."

Thank you, Yaw, for sharing this amazing story and use case of ODK! I would be interested to learn more about how they recruited and trained the youth to be data collectors. Looking to work with Youth in our ODK initiatives as well!
