# Adding score for each question

Hello everyone,

I'm looking now to update my excel sheet file that i used to create XML file by adding mark for each question and the last column will be the total marks .  
is that possible???

Hossam,

Yes. If the questions are integer prompts (e.g., 1 and 0), you can  
sum(${prompt\_name}) to get the sum of the repeats so far.

If they are note integer prompts, you can use this trick that Chris  
outlines at [https://groups.google.com/d/msg/opendatakit/\_O6Rjj2ymgo/4\_8oPl4AAgIJ](https://groups.google.com/d/msg/opendatakit/_O6Rjj2ymgo/4_8oPl4AAgIJ).
