Aggregate Features

Dear all,

On odk aggregate under Aggregate Features you will always get a check button for

Disable faster background actions (exports, publishing, form deletion) (slows quota usage on Google AppEngine)

When this button is checked or ticked does it reduce the consumption of quota on the Google AppEngine.

Does the access of data from fusion table that has been published by ODK Aggregate constitute to consumption of Quota from the Google AppEngine.

Kind Request

simon

Hi Simon,

The act of publishing contributes to the quota. Once the data is on
Fusion Tables, using the data there does not contribute to quota.

Checking the checkbox reduces the frequency with which ODK Aggregate
attempts to publish any backlog of submissions.

Some of this backlog is processed each time a completed form is submitted
to ODK Aggregate.

When no incoming submissions occur, keeping this checkbox unchecked will
increase the frequency with which ODK Aggregate checks for and handles
publishing backlogs.

Thank you Yaw for your take on this.

This is very helpful. But am just wondering when publishing has been done on
Gfusion table with say media [photos] which according to my thinking are
still linked in the aggregate.Do you think this may still affect traffic
on the google app ingine or servers ?

Would be eager to follow on this topic

Yes, if you are publishing media on Fusion Tables, that will count
towards your App Engine quota.
