Altering ODK published Fusion Table records removes Time

Hi,

I've noticed that in an ODK published Fusion Table (any of ours anyway), if I edit any data in records, e.g. updating string fields, the time gets stripped off the record's date/time fields. e.g. '10/14/2015 18:54:08.045' gets turned into '2015-10-14"

If any fields contain just the time, it gets changed to '1899-12-30'. e.g. '16:31:00' gets changed to '1899-12-30'

However if I create a Fusion Table based on the same data, not published from ODK, editing a record will 'only' strip off the decimal part of the seconds. e.g. '10/14/2015 18:53:55.207' turns into '10/14/2015 18:53:55'

Applying a Date/Time format to the affected fields helps preserve the hours and minutes but not the seconds. The time field displays as '30/12/1899 18:53'. This is not a great solution.

I don't see anything like this with ODK published spreadsheets, not an option for us.

Has anyone else encountered this behaviour and, if so, have you found a way to stop it? Editing records after collection is necessary for us.

If this is the wrong forum please let me know which would be more appropriate. As I said above, the most dramatic changes happen with ODK published data.

Thank you!

You should probably ask this question on one of the Fusion Table support
lists.
Go to: https://support.google.com/fusiontables/#topic=1652595
And click on "Troubleshoot and resolve common problems"
and then "reporting problems and asking for help"

If you get an answer or if anyone finds that changing the Fusion Table to
use a particular column data type or configuration setting can resolve
this, let us know. We may be able to set those settings (and thereby avoid
this issue) when we create the fusion table prior to publishing data into
it.
