Automatically sending data from the app to remote script

Hi

Just wondering if someone can provide me some basic advice as i cannot find
it in the documentation.

We are currently collecting and storing data on app spot and want to
automatically post that data to a script or remote database.

Is this something that can be done with odk?

The available mechanisms to transfer the data are described here:

Most databases have mechanisms to import data from csv files.

You could use the ODK Briefcase command line interface to pull data from
the server into csv files, then upload those csv files into your database.

There are mechanisms on Windows, Mac, and Linux to set up scheduled jobs
'cron jobs' to run periodically.

Hi thanks for the response.

Getting the data from the end user device to the ODK host is ok.

What I want to do is export that data to another remote server - is this
achievable? Perhaps easier to just host the database remotely and pull data
from that rather than push it from the ODK server.
