Bulk upload of submissions to ODK Aggregate

We're having an issue where one person in the field is having issues
with WIFI connectivity and is unable to submit via ODK Collect. While
they can load the data off the SC card and submit submissions in ODK
Aggregate, uploading 150 submissions individually is a bit tedious. I
haven't seen a bulk upload process this point. Is there better way to
do this right now?

Thanks,
Matt

We plan to create briefcase 1.0 that includes this functionality. We
realize this is a gap in our tools and we are working to fix it.
Hopefully by the end of summer.

matt,

we understand that's a bit of a wait, so maybe we can help with the
wifi issue? is anyone else able to submit from this access point?

Hi Waylon and Yaw,

Thanks for the responses.

We had someone in the same field office previously and they were able
to connect to wifi using the device (Galaxy Tab).

However, someone else is there and having some issues with wifi. I'm
hoping to help troubleshoot today or Monday.

We were able to resolve the issue by sending from another wifi
location. I believe we were dealing with a Samsung Galaxy Tab issue
related to DHCP and the IP address was not being properly released/
renewed. In case others run into this, it is discussed in this post
with some possible solutions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=839367

I'm curious about another possible workaround. Would it work to copy
the folder with all of the submissions onto a computer that has
internet, send them to someone else who can load them onto a new
device that has the same server settings and form, and send it from
the other device?

It seems like this might work, although I don't know enough ODK
Collect and unique form IDs to know for sure.

Thanks,
Matt

you can copy the /odk folder across devices and it should work. make
sure you copy the entire folder and not just the submissions.

also, since you are replacing the old data on the destination with the
new data from the source, this action will wipe all the old data on
the destination.

i just tested this in 1.1.5, but should also work in 1.1.7.
