Can one get data from tablets after it has already been sent to the server and the server has crashed?

Dear Community,

We have been doing a survey for the last 5 days using ODK Collect and at
some point the server crashed. Its an offsite server (we are not using the
google cloud- I am not an IT guy but love IT). Now we seem to have lost the
data on the server (initial results from the IT guys). Is there a way to
get the already sent data from the tablets? Is there like an image in the
tablets that can be transformed to get the data either using ODK briefcase
or some other app? Please assist.

Best Regards,

Karisa.

Hi, Karisa.
Yes, it's possible with ODK Briefcase.
Copy your entiere ODK folder from your tablett to a computer where is
installed ODK Briefcase; then, follows the steps here
https://opendatakit.org/use/briefcase/ (at the section: Pulling data
directly from Android 2.x devices) to pull down and export your data in
csv files.
Best,
