Can't access sd card

I am getting the error message ... "Can't access sd card" when trying to
record voice in a form.

The installation is on an ASUS MemoPad HD with SD card installed. The
Filemanager shows that there is nothing on the sd card. And that on the
internal memory there is an ODK directory with subdirectories --- forms,
instances and metadata.

Should the install be directly on the sd card?

If it is a 2.x device, you need to unmount the SD Card from your PC before
you can run ODK Collect (the PC gets exclusive access to it while it is
mounted, preventing ODK Collect or other apps from accessing it).
