Clarification on ODK Collect commit d6938ef2c004

Hi,

I'm in the process of merging changes from ODK Collect into our Inform
app source tree and am wondering about the significance of changeset
d6938ef2c004. Do these changes constitute new things that I need to
worry about or is this commit simply the result of moving a bunch of
files around?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt,

In pushing towards the 1.1.7 release we did a re-basing of sorts to clean
things up, which ultimately ended up being a brute force replacement of many
files. The structure of the code is a bit different, but we're in the
process of rolling in all of the previous changes. Ultimately the
functionality will be the same, but with some added goodies.

Happy to chat in more detail about that changeset or other differences in
the upcoming release.

Carl:

Thanks for the explanation. I was a little confused after taking a look
at the changeset and noticing that several of the changes that had been
introduced in previous commits (and I thought were destined for 1.1.6)
appeared to have been backed out.

Be interested to know the rationale behind this big change. I'm not
questioning the decision to make it but simply want to have a better
understanding of what's going on so anything you can tell me about it
that I can't already gleam from the roadmap, etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Matt
