Commas in numerical entry fields

Hello,

We would like enumerators to enter income numbers but see them with commas
to reduce data entry error, for example:

1,000,000

instead of

1000000

(although in South Asia, where we are running the survey, the commas appear
in different places.)

On hard copy forms this is usually done by putting boxes and commas in
between the boxes. Is there any way to do this in ODK?

Thanks very much!

Kate,

Try a text prompt with the appearance=numbers. It's not technically a
number, so be sure to test all dependent prompts.
