Hi,
I created the scan form using the form designer software but when I try to save it I just get a moving blue circle and no progress from that.
Any suggestions on what I should do would be much appreciated.

Are you using the Scan Form Designer that is embedded within the
app-designer? (You can get to this version from our github repo https://
github.com/opendatakit/app-designer.git or our downloads page https://
opendatakit.org/downloads/download-info/odk-applicationdeveloper
-v2-0-alpha-1-zip/.) If you look at the Chrome developer console, do you
see any errors? (You can access the console using these instructions
https://developer.chrome.com/devtools.) If so, please send those messages
along. Finally, if you can provide the form that you have created so we
can reproduce the issue, that would be most helpful.

Yes, just to clarify, the old form designer located at this link:
http://ictd.cs.washington.edu/odk-scan-form-designer/
is deprecated. I have taken it down, so that link should give you a 404
error message now.
The official home of the Scan Form Designer is inside of the App Designer,
as Clarice said. You can find documentation for it here:
https://opendatakit.org/use/2_0_tools/active-distribution/application-designer-rev-208/scan-form-designer-rev-208/
If you have this error with the version inside of App Designer, please
follow the debug instructions that Clarice mentioned.

One last note, because I realize it wasn't emphasized in earlier emails.
The Scan Form Designer only works in Chrome. It will NOT work in Firefox,
IE, Edge, Opera, or any other browser. You MUST use Chrome.
