CSV file has more than 1000 IDs in the choices and when uploaded, ODK collect form crashes

We have been designing our whole project using ODK collect but are facing an issue when uploading a CSV file onto ONA that contains more than 2000 choices. The file gets uploaded, but when we start filling out the form on ODK collect, the form crashes. When the list is less than 500 choices, it seems to work fine. Please note that we tried zipping the csv file but it still does not work.We also need to figure out a way to make auto complete to work to save time while searching through a large set of choices.

Troubleshooting this challenge is highly crucial as we are basing all our data collection on this method and not resolving this issue will pose a great problem for our team.

This is a question for the Ona team, but I think your best bet is to
use external itemsets.
