Good news - I have solved this, it was just a matter of having the right software on my computer to read the script, and nothing to do with ODK - thanks a lot!

Hi, I have the same issue above exporting from Aggregate ODK using Briefcase, attached the file Book1.xlsx (13.9 KB) . and I tried to use this method, it solved to some of the submissions but not for all

This is usually related to the encoding configured in Windows when pulling the form. If the form was pulled with an encoding different to UTF-8, then the exports will show the errors you're reporting.
Briefcase v1.16.1 fixes this by enforcing UTF-8 on pull operations but that means that you should pull your forms again to avoid the issues on the exported forms.
