Customising forms

Hi all,

Is it possible to design custom skins/formatting for forms? So, for
example, displaying a logo at the top of a survey when it's being completed?

Thanks,

Calum

Hi all,

Just as a follow-up to this, are ODK forms HTML-based?

Hi Calum,

ODK forms are a subset of the far larger XForms 1.0 specification.
They contain a few additional features not found in the XForms
specification.

You can do some styling with Markdown.

You can also add images/videos/audio to the form. For example, you can
have a select one about the types of birds where the choices are
videos of the various birds.

Hi Yaw,

This is really helpful, thanks!

If I wanted to change the menu bar, is this something that needs to be done
on the developer side? Are there any templates for surveys with
logos/custom headers at all?

Best,

Calum

Calum,

You will need a developer to change the menu bar. You can find one at
https://opendatakit.org/help/help-for-hire.

Hi Yaw,

I'm happy to look around in the code. Grateful if there are any resources
you could point me to, though! I'd imagine this question has come up
previously.

Thanks,

Calum

Hi Calum,
The code is pretty straightforward so that's your best bet!
