Default and invisible bind/instance questions

Hi all,

I tried unsuccessfully to add a default answer to an invisible
question in an ODK script. I used the following scripts:
Instance:New York
Binds: or

I also tried to add default answers in itext/translation/text/value.
The invisible question still shows without a default answer on ODK
Collect’s form and Aggregate’s submission. Do you have any solutions?

eric,

i don't know where you got the type and visible attributes from, but
we don't use them anywhere in odk.

to add a default value, put the text of the value in the instance. to
make a prompt invisible, don't add it in the body.
