I have created a form using an xlsform. When running it through ODK
Collect, I get the error message 'Dependency cycle in s; recursion
limit exceeded!' Is there a limit as to how many times I can reference a
variable in a label

I suspect you have an error in your label text, such as by having the label
translation contain an tag that uses jr:itext() referencing
another translation that contains an tag that references the first
label.
