What high-level problem are you trying to solve?
Navigation to custom Question/Group
Any ideas on how ODK could help you solve it?
Integrate navigaton bar with custom Question buttons

Hello,
I have a question— or rather, I wanted to ask if my idea might be incorporated into the ODK Collect app.
The problem I’m having with the workflow is this:
My form requires users to take photos, and I’ve created these questions at a specific point in the log; they’re labeled “Photo Up,” “Photo Down,” and “Photo Detail 1.” as questiongroups. There are other questions where photos can be taken optionally, but those don’t relate to my idea.
Now, it may be that you don’t want to take the three photos right away when you arrive at a location, but rather take all of them—or just some of them—later, after other questions have been answered. In that case, you would either have to go back to those photo questions-group one by one for each question, or select the question from the list of questions in the navigation tree to navigate there. Both approaches are very cumbersome and time-consuming for long, nested projects.
Creating a direct navigation path using a pseudo-navigation bar—where specific questions, such as the photo questions, are permanently pinned and displayed as part of the navigation bar— is difficult to implement and significantly increases the size of the form.
The idea is to expand the existing navigation bar of the ODK Collect app with several custom icons that lead directly to a question specified in advance in the app's settings. Here, the user can specify which question or group the button should link to. This would make it possible to navigate directly to a specific question without any detours. In my example, that means going straight to the three questions ( here for example labeled 1, 2 and 3 ) about creating photos.
Maybe there’s another way to select questions directly, and I just don’t know about it—that’s why I’m suggesting this idea...
THX
