Please forgive me Im brand new to this group, and have only just found out
about the ODK, I need to know if the ODK allows for the collection of data
in an environment thats disconnected from the internet? I'm researching
the options out there for developing a Geological field data collection
tool,and it has to be able to be run disconnected from the internet as the
app will be collecting data in the High Arctic of Canada. The ODK looks
very promising, please help, thanks,

ODK was designed to work offline. You can load new forms and get your
completed forms without connectivity to the Internet, but it's easier
with. The actual act of data collection requires no connectivity.

What Yaw was saying in essence is that ODK collect can work offline, save
form(s) and can later be sent to aggregate or server when internet is
active.
