Dynamic load multlile choice based on pre-save gps location

Here is the scenario. The data collector is in an airplane searching for hundreds of radio collared animals. They have a receiver that scans and when you hear a collar on a particular frequency, you stop the scan and have to record the frequency that you heard, and then remove it from the scan bank. Normally this would be a check on a long paper list, sorted by geographical area. You need to find the frequency and check it off quickly so you can keep listening for the other animals because you are flying at a high speed and you could be missing something.

The ideal mobile app that would manage this list would need to be able dynamically load a multiple choice list that updates as you move, showing you the nearest likely frequencies, based on their previous locations. Scrolling on a phone or tablet through a hundred choices even if they are statically sorted by frequency is not an option because of the high speed of the plane and the multitasking of operating the receiver and instructing the pilot.

Is there a way to dynamically load a multiple choice list base on current gps location, before the gps location is recorded at the end of the form?

No; this is beyond the capabilities of the ODK Collect.

It is an interesting use case for the 2.0 tools (which are better suited to
this type of dynamic updating).

Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to add this functionality into
the 2.0 tools any time soon.
