Error: Not Found (404) at http://srcokd.appspot.com?devicID=imei%

Hi,
I have created an encrypted form for my survey. The encryption process seems to be working but when I try to upload the xml files into the server I get the message:
Error: Not Found (404) at http://srcokd.appspot....

Things I have checked:

  • I am sure the original xml file is in the server (Form management tab): I have actually downloaded this file into the smart phone to use it for the surveys.
  • When I look at the filled xml files they look encrypted fine to me.
  • I have tried to do the same things with a different (not encrypted) survey and it works fine: the transfer is fine and I can see the file in the aggregate server ( so this seems to rule out the user/password/connexion kind of errors).

I have also seen some where that xml form files in the server should not contain the submission_url field but when I have tried the encryption doesn't work anymore.

I have also tried to directly decode the file using Briefcase in my PC but it doesn't work. When I try to pull the files I get the following message:

resolving against briefcase form definitions
unable to copy form definition and/or media folder: Form definitions are incompatible.
FAILED.

I have 2 questions here:

  • Any ideas on what the problem might be to do the transfert? As far as I have understood in the website once the file is in the aggregate server ODK Briefcase should be able to decode the xml files.
  • Is it possible to directly decode the files using Briefcase without going through the Aggregate server? Based on what I have seen in the website I don't think so but I would like to be sure so as not to keep trying.

Have a good weekend,
Arturo

Arturo,

Submission action url should be https://srcokd.appspot.com/submission.
Looks like you are missing the /submission. You can fix this in the
submission_url column in your settings worksheet. Also make sure your
url in the settings of ODK Collect point to https, not http.
