Export data

Hi guys.

So i could not get the ODK collect to work with the server as my post in my
previous topic ODK Collect, so what i want to know is there a way that i
can export the all ready collected forms to our MySQL server? then we can
start to do same data analysis on it, while we fix the host name issue with
the server.

If you have hostname/IP address problems, you must fix that first.

ODK Briefcase uses many of the same APIs as ODK Collect to access the
server. If ODK Collect cannot access the server and download forms, then
ODK Briefcase is unlikely to be able to.

Okay but i can see the forms but just not download a new blank form or
upload the ones that we have already captured, so there is no way i can
export them from the phone and then just copy it to the server to import it
into the db.

Yes, my data is on the Android phone, how to i copy it to my pc? Then pull
them into ODK Briefcase, and finally export the data into a CSV file for
processing.Yes this is what i want to do, so that i can then import the CSV
file into the database, then we can resolve the host name issue, but we
need to get the data off the device's. How would i go about to accomplish
this task?

Thanks for all you're assistance in this matter.

Will i use the USB cable and then point the briefcase to the phone
location? am i on the right track here? or is there something else i need
to do?

I am having difficulty understanding you.

If your data is still on the set of Android devices running ODK Collect,
you can manually copy the needed data files to your computer. Then pull
them into ODK Briefcase, and finally export the data into a CSV file for
processing.

If your data is already in ODK Aggregate, and you want to access it, you
must resolve the hostname/IP problem before you can proceed.
