External selects not recognised

Hi everyone,

I am trying to use external select on my form, but every time I try convert it in to a xform it gets rejected because it says for my select_one_external the "list name is not in the choices sheet". I am confused because the list name is in the external_choices sheet, as I thought it should be.

I have looked through the South Sudan sheet and copied the way they have done it.

any advice would be appreciated. The form is attached.

Thanks,

Sophie

Hi Sophie,

The first level of a cascading select needs to be in choices and not
external_choices. Move provinces to the choices sheet and change that
question from select_one_external to select_one.
