Geolocation via Wifi - sometimes works, sometimes not

I have an Archos Android 2.2.1 "Froyo" tablet without GPS but with the
setting "Use wireless networks" checked to ON. So in Collect 1.1.7, it
happily gave me a geolocation (accuracy 40 meters) for a "GPS" type
question.

On my Samsung phone, Froyo 2.2, with the GPS off and "Use wireless
networks" checked to ON, my Collect 1.1.5 did not want to use
geolocation via the wifi network. Which is at fault in this second
case? Collect 1.1.5 or my Samsung phone? When I use Google Maps on the
phone, he happily geolocates me via wifi network.

collect 1.1.5 does not have wifi localization. upgrade to 1.1.7 if you
want that functionality.
