Grid of select : the column of labels occupies half the width of the screen

We would like to use a grid of select to choose between ~10 option (landscape use of the phone)
We face a little problem as half the screen is used for the label column and the second half for all the ten options.
As a consequence, the grid is quite "unreadable".

Is there a way to optimize it ?

Unfortunately there is no easy way to optimize it. In that widget answers always take half of the screen and in this case (with many options) it looks as in your screenshot.
