Aung,

Microsoft Excel does not interpret the contents of a csv file
correctly if you simply double-click it to open the file in Excel.
Instead, you must:

  • open Excel (e.g., via the Start menu)
  • choose Data / Get External Data From Text
  • choose your csv file, click Import
  • Select Delimited
  • Select 65001: Unicode (UTF-8) for "File Origin"
  • choose Next
  • Choose Comma for the Delimiter
  • Click Next
  • Click Finish
  • Click OK to import the data starting at the highlighted cell (typically A1)-

On Mac OSX, there are reports that this process does not work
correctly for Arabic characters. In that case, try using any other
spreadsheet program, e.g., one of the free OpenOffice.org follow-on
applications, or, on Mac, the Numbers program. If you can import the
data using one of those programs, you can then save it in XLSX format
and then open that in Microsoft Excel.

The problem is the Excel file. You must start from the CSV and import
it using the steps I posted earlier. If those steps aren't clear, try
https://help.tune.com/marketing-console/how-to-import-a-unicode-csv-to-excel/.

Alternatively, if Excel isn't behaving, try LibreOffice at
https://www.libreoffice.org/. It imports Unicode CSVs properly.
