1. What is the problem? Be very detailed.
I would like to download the new version of ODK AGGREGATE for seting up on my computer. *Please could you help me to get it.
2. What app or server are you using and on what device and operating system? Include version numbers.
New version of ODK AGGREGATE for Google app engine
3. What you have you tried to fix the problem?
4. What steps can we take to reproduce the problem?
5. Anything else we should know or have? If you have a test form or screenshots or logs, attach below.
Aggregate is no longer actively developed. Have you heard about ODK Central? If not please check it out https://docs.getodk.org/central-intro/
Thank you @Grzesiek2010 for your quick response. So i can not use old version ? Odk Central is not free and i have not money to buy it.
ODK Central is free, but if you need us to host it for you, we offer a paid option through ODK Cloud.
Our cloud hosting includes regular feature updates, automatic security patches, daily backups, uptime management, enterprise security, and guaranteed fast support on any issues.
The cloud hosting is what pays for ongoing work on ODK (code, documentation, testing, this forum, etc).
If you don't have a budget for our hosting, you can self-host it yourself for free and rely on volunteers on this forum for help. Start with the documentation at https://docs.getodk.org/getting-started.
Thank my dear @yanokwa. God bless you so much.
I must enter a work email address (no Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo) to be granted a demo of ODK CENTRAL. Unfortunately I have not professional email. *Please can you help me to have a demo without this ? And i have not budget for paiement. How can i do to self-host it yourself for free and rely on volunteers on this forum for help ?
I see i will need one day to have a demo of odk cloud but i m stress because my time is short.
Please is it possible to use old version of odk aggregate if i want ?
Thank you so much
The instructions for self-hosting Central are linked from https://docs.getodk.org/getting-started.
If you are familiar with Aggregate you can keep using it as you previously had. Instructions are at https://docs.getodk.org/aggregate-intro/ and releases are at https://github.com/getodk/aggregate/releases. Do note that if you haven't installed Aggregate before, it may not be any easier than installing Central. I'd recommend reading through instructions for both to help make your decision.
Thank you for the guidance. I am more in favor of central Odk. But central Odk limits me. for example
1.I don't have a professional email as required by odk cloud
2. I don't have a credit card payment method and the trial is only 14 days long.
3. I must wait 1 day before receiving the 14 day trial
This limits my ability to use it currently well aware that odk is more efficient and inovative.
@LN Is there no way to have the central odk link to go directly to the installation?
