I might have messed up

Well I started up on a pilot to see on well the device worked and data
collection went.......started off using formhub but did not get very good
cell coverage to upload data so I stopped and changed to a local version
on my laptop VM 1.4.1 aggregate. I extracted the form from the odk collect
folder and uploaded it to my aggregate instance........all the forms
uploaded fine and can be seen in the aggregate application...........but.

When I try to access the data through ODK Briefcase I get an error when
trying to access the form.

The original form I uploaded to test on Aggregate works fine...........just
the one I originally created from formhub and imported back into my VM is
giving me issues...............both forms were built from the same xforms
file..........just one now has a formhub column in the data...........

I am not adding any user criteria for the Briefcase credentials is that my
issue..........and if so what would they be?

What happens if you take the above URL and paste it into a browser?

You might need to right-click view source after it fetches the content --
it will be an XML file that is a rough reconstruction of the submission XML.

If the formhub XLSForm adds or removes columns in the generated form, ODK
Briefcase should prevent your from co-mingling the data from the two forms
-- that would have been detected well before the retrieval of the
submission (which is what this request doing).

Mitch I get an error..........

I could restore the odk folder back to the device and then sync with the
original formhub application.........ODK Briefcase does work with that I
have been told........ just to clarify, I originally set this up to be
used from formhub..........bad connection speed from the field so I copied
the form from the Collect folder to a local Aggregate VM and then uploaded
the submissions to the local VM. All seems to work but Briefcase will not
pull the data from that form...........if there is no quick way to fix this
then I should just restore the instances and sync to formhub and pull the
data from there..........agree?

John,

Seems like a good thing to try. After the forms go up on FormHub, you
should also be able to use Briefcase to pull from FormHub and push to
Aggregate.

My gut says Mitch is right. FormHub probably adds/removes columns in
the form and that might be what is causing the problem.
