Image prompt without "Choose Image" option?

Always fighting for screen area: is there a way to add an image prompt so
that only "Take Picture" is shown? Hacking around, I tried "add camera
prompt" (I am using the XLS form) but that got me nowhere fast. TIA

Do you not want to display "Choose Image", or do you not want to show any
thumbnail?

I think the thumbnail should always be shown, as the user won't be able to
quickly check whether the photo is what they want and/or know that a photo
was taken.

Choose image is there because on some of the newest phones, the camera
capture size is very large. As a work-around, users can open the camera app
manually, take a picture, save it in reduced resolution, then use Choose
image to select that saved photo into the form. Very ugly, but better than
not having this capability at all.

Thanks for the explanation--at least the presence of the Choose Image
button makes some sense to me now.

What I would prefer is for the two buttons to be side-by-side, I guess, if
they both have to exist. There would be more than enough space across the
screen.

Best of all, I would prefer to see the image size restriction handled in
the background. Size limit would be adjustable by the user, maybe with
something like this:

"add image prompt_small" = limit 100x100
"add image prompt_medium" = limit 600x400
"add imabe prompt_large" = no limit on size

Don't know what that would mean in terms of programming...
