Images not loading into ODK Aggregate on Manual upload submission

I am manually uploading submission data and my forms are uploading
perfectly, but none of the media files (images/video) are loading. I don't
get an error message, but when I view the data that is submitted, or export
to CSV, the media columns are blank. I have tried everything I can think
of. Is anyone else having this problem?

I am using ODK Aggregate v1.3.4

First -- try a different browser. Firefox and Chrome are what we primarily
use and test against.

If IE is having a problem, let me know what version you're using.

If it does not work against a different browser, you should double-check
that the XML specifying the submission instance contains the filenames of
the media files being uploaded (use an editor -- e.g., Notepad++, to open
the file -- the data will all be on one line, you'll need to scroll right
or copy-all and paste it onto an online XML pretty-printer). If they do not
match, the files will not be saved (they will be discarded).

I am using Firefox. I just looked and it looks like the Aggregate upload
screen is appending a [1] at the end of the filename. Could that be
throwing it off? There is no way for me to remove that.

What version of Firefox are you using? I am using ESR 17.0.8, and it works
fine (no [1] appended); the ESR is several revisions behind the individual
user version, so perhaps something changed.

Try Chrome. It should work.
