Incorrect text constraint message when using ODK build

Hi all,

I'm trying to use a constraint to limit the length of a text field. When I
put a custom error in, it seems to be ignored, and in the exported XML it
simply repeats the question. Is it a bug in ODK build, or a feature that is
still to be implemented?

Thanks,

Patrick

Patrick,

It's more likely a mistake in your form than a bug. No way to tell
without looking at the .odkbuild file. If it's something that can be
shared publicly, attach it to this email thread.

Alternatively, run the XML through ODK Validate
http://opendatakit.org/downloads/download-info/odk-validate-2/ to get
hints about why the form isn't working.

Hi Yaw,

I've attached a quick single question form. We're training staff to use
ODK, and the error is common among all of us.

Thanks,

Patrick

Patrick,

This is most definitely a bug. Reported at
https://github.com/clint-tseng/odkbuild/issues/36 and I've pinged
Clint. As always, no ETA for a fix.
