Index Repeat choices - based on initialized data

I have a household questionnaire; and as usual one repeat group initializes the members in the household and other repeat groups collect other data for the members by looping through the initialized member list. Call them subsequent loops.

My question: can I have the household members as a choice list (with position of member as the name in the choice and name of member as label in the choice) so that they can be picked up with select_one as selections in other questions (within the subsequent loops) ?

I think you can use cascading-select filters for this. See
