I use calculate concat('
') and save_to a properties in entity_list.
It turns out that the properties field is emptied.

I tried the same on my end, though I was able to see the emoji stored as properties - sharing a screenshot here:
Hmm, just a guess, but maybe the system or browser you're using to view the saved emoji in the entity list doesn't support emojis? Could be worth trying on a different system or browser to see if it shows up correctly..!
