Dear ODK community,
I'm running a survey on ODK collect 1.4.3. (build 1042). The form uses
pre-loaded data for respondent selection by Kish method. However, on some
devices (either Galaxy Tab 2 or Galaxy Tab 3) I'm getting an error when
loading blank form (it says something like "you should use indexed-repeat
function"). When I check odk directory on the tablets, it appears that in
the "instances" folder there are blank directories for the instances, which
are not accessible from the odk collect user interface.
Do you have any understanding why it should happen?
Best,
Dato
Dato,
You will get that error under one of two conditions:
-
You are referencing a repeated field outside the repeat group (so it
doesn't know which one you want).
-
You are using a repeated field in a choice_filter expression (which will
require special syntax; search this group for related messages).
In either case, you should fix something in your form before continuing.
Best,
Chris
