Is it possible to trigger a new seperate assessment at the end of a current assessment based on the answers provided by the user?

Hi folks -

We've been using xlsforms and odk to create assessments for a while now. However, it has only just come up that we want to perform a second assessment as a result of an original assessment; i.e. we are looking to conclude one and have an option asking 'Would you like to complete this report now?', which will trigger the start of a new assessment. Is this possible somehow?

We are looking to kick off a seperate assessment based on the results of the first one. The original is kind of the screening phase that will be discarded, with the actual report being the assessment that is recorded and stored in the system.

If anybody had any feedback on this, it would be greatly apppreciated...

Thanks in advance,

Regards

Craig

For ODK Collect, this would require writing code.

The 2.0 tools are designed to support this by combining ODK Tables to
examine existing filled-in form data and initiate the opening of ODK Survey
to edit or create filled-in forms.

If your team has the technical skills to support your own deployments, I
would encourage you to look into the rev 126 Alpha/Beta of these tools.

Craig,

I've got some code pending that will allow for a launching of a second form
(using data from the first). Hoping to get that into trunk in a month or
two.

Thats great guys - thanks for your input. Helps a lot. Have shared this
info with the team here, so I think we will try to develop something for
it.

Were any further developments are made for this code; if you could let me
know, that would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Craig
