Issue with ODK Aggregate

Hi

I am running ODK aggregate as a server on my system and trying to use
briefcase to upload data from android device.

Briefcase is asking for url to update username and password, but I cannot
find any option on ODK aggregate to assign a new username and password. Did
anyone face a similar problem.

Briefcase uses an ODK username and password to submit data to aggregate
(version 1.0.x). After logging into ODK Aggregate, go to the Site Admin /
Permissions page. You can create an ODK Aggregate username, change (set)
the password, and assign that username the Form Manager permissions. Be
sure to Save Changes to apply the changes.

Then use this username and password from within Briefcase.

Hi Mitch

Thanks you for responding..

I am attaching an image file of screen shot of my ODK Aggregate Screen. I
cant see the screen of Site Admin, I can register by any name and it does
not ask for password. I cannot figure out the if this is the problem with
the version I have downloaded. This one is v0.9.2.1.

Ah, OK. ODK Briefcase does not work with v0.9.2.1.

You need to upgrade to v0.9.8.1 available here:
http://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/downloads/list

Once you upgrade, you can use ODK Briefcase to pull the data from your
instance to your local computer. (NOTE: the ODK Briefcase application is
different from the tool accessible through the 'Briefcase' link on the ODK
Aggregate v0.9.8.1 home page -- we recommend using the application, not
this earlier tool).

For future data collection work, you should consider moving to ODK
Aggregate v1.0 (this is an incompatible upgrade from ODK Aggregate
v0.9.x). If you do, the ODK Briefcase application can be used to push the
data on your local computer up to that ODK Aggregate v1.0 server, enabling
you to migrate your data across versions as you navigate this incompatible
upgrade. When migrating from v0.9.x to v1.0, you will likely need to make
some minor changes to your form definition files; the procedure is outlined
here http://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/wiki/AggregateMigration

We have stopped all maintenance and development work on the v0.9.x code.
