Learn basics and advanced stuffs regarding timestamps

Hi everyone, I would like to learn about timestamps, how to use them, how to code them in an excel form that I convert to xlm afterwards. So basically I'd like to know about the very basics and then more advanced stuffs about timestamps: how to create timestamps, how to code them, how to use them, etc. Can anyone/anything help me?

The audit functionality for logging enumerator behavior provides the most detailed timestamp information: https://docs.getodk.org/form-audit-log/ (scroll down on that page for a section specifically on timestamps). Also, XLSForm metadata can also include a log of start and end time.
