Mytouch slide number entry into string field does not work

Hello

I am using HTC mytouch slide phones for ODK collect v1.1.5.
I have several forms that have both string and number fields.
Entering numbers from the slide keyboard into number fields works
fine. Entering string symbols into the string fields works fine
however, I can not enter numbers or other function key symbols into
string fields.

Does anyone know of a work around for this?

hey bert,

sounds pretty strange. since you are local, it'll likely be faster if
i see the phone and the form in person. can you send me an email off
the list and we'll setup a quick meeting?
