Hi,
I followed the instructions and have ODK Collect v1.1.4 installed on
my HTC Desire. When I select "Manage Files" and "Remote" a small
window with the title "Fetching List" appears. After a few seconds the
message appears: "Sorry, unable to load remote form list!" and
"Nothing available to display"
The server in "Server Preferences" was http://opendatakit.appspot.com/
I also tried http://open-data-kit.appspot.com/
Additionaly, what confuses me are the greyed out fields "Username" and
"Password" in the "Server Preferences" window.

How are you connected to the internet when trying to load the remote forms?
Are you using your cell carrier or wifi?
Sorry for the confusion about the username/password fields. We added them
with the intention of providing authentication, but we greyed them out
because they're not used for anything right now.

I was using wifi since my phone is brandnew and I not even have a
telephone number yet.

Hm... I tested both of those sites and they're both up and running.
You might try opening a browser on your phone after you connect to the wifi
to make sure there isn't a re-direct of some kind happening (we've seen this
cause issues in the past). Also make sure you can connect to those
web-pages using your browser on the phone.
