I have no background in app building and I just started learning to use ODK
Collect. I was wondering if it was possible to collect information such as
the number of phone calls and texts the user makes and how long he spends
on the internet, and integrate this information with the forms on ODK
Collect?

Thank you for the quick reply. I am interested in collecting
social-behavioral data as part of a research project. ODK Collect is a
great tool because it allows me to collect information via surveys, but I
would like to collect other types of data as well such as frequency of text
messages, calls, etc.

If you want that integrated into ODK, you'd definitely have to write
some Java code. If you aren't a developer, you can hire one at
http://opendatakit.org/help/help-for-hire.
Alternatives are to ask your participants to manually enter that data,
or find a standalone app that collects that data, or collect the
phones after the campaign and manually extract it yourself.
