NFC and how to use it in ODK

I have recently bought some NFC tags and wish to use them them instead of
barcodes in my forms. Is there a way allow ODK to read the NFC tags?

Not currently. You will need to develop a new widget and it would best to
hire someone who has experience with ODK (see
http://opendatakit.org/help/help-for-hire/).
If you do get it working, it would be great to contribute this code
back to the community.
