Noob aggregate question

Hi Folks,

I have a quick and embarrassing question. When I try to create my own
instance of aggregate I get nowhere,

I unzip the 0.9.4 odk package
Create the application called #####.appspot.com
Then I run the uploadaggregatetoappengine.cmd

I'm on windows, It shows the black window for just a split second and
then nothing... I know I'm missing something simple.

Any help for this n00b would be appreciated. Not sure what I'm
missing. I tried it on two different computers following the tutorial
steps, and I get the same result both times.

First guess ... Do you have Java installed on your computer? The
installer uses a java program to upload.

Thanks,

I'll sheepishly crawl back to my n00b cave to collect data.
