ODK Aggregate 1.0.9 Production Release is now available for download

*ODK Aggregate 1.0.9 Production Release is now available for download.

··· * * fix issue 598 - AppEngine over-quota page showing erroneously.

See the information in this issue ticket if your ODK Aggregate 1.1 preview
release experiences this problem. One configuration file apparently needs
to be tweaked.

See http://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/wiki/AggregateReleaseNotes for
upgrade information and futher details.

Great! I'll try.But does it support Tomcat 7?

Aggregate releases still target Tomcat 6. Upgrading platforms can be a
large undertaking that core ODK team does on average every 6 months.
Most of our efforts are focused on new features and large upgrades
like that are generally done when we increment first or second number
version number not the third.

We happily work with other people who want to contribute and make the
project better and accept patches to improve the software. For example
the Aggregate 1.1 which is currently in preview was not scheduled
until the end of the summer; however, Christopher Robert volunteered
to write form compare code that did the checking to allow us to
implement versioning. Thanks again Chis! This means the major updates
we had planned for the summer will now appear in Aggregate 1.2 or 2.0
depending on schedules.

My point is if you would like to see the Tomcat 7 support early on a
predictable timeframe we happily accept patches. If you do 75% of the
testing and modification work for Tomcat 7 and submit a patch it will
get done a lot faster. Otherwise the small 2-3 person core ODK team
will get to it when we can and I cannot tell you for sure when that
will be.

Cheers,
Waylon
