ODK Aggregate and Tomcat 9

Hi, I am Oscar and am trying to work with Aggregate, using Apache Tomcat 9.
Anytime I try to connect localhost:8080/ODKAggregate, I get the message "You
do not have permission for this action. Error: Invalid request"
Is there a way I can work around It. I can't downgrade to tomcat 6 or 7
because I am using other Apps that works perfectly with the tomcat 9.

Thank You

May be you have another applications running on the 8080t. So according to
me, you have to change the 8080 to something like 8089 (during the
standalone installation) and try again.

Agyei,

It's probably not a port conflict. Look at the logs. What do they say?

Agyei,

Depends on your operating system, but there is generally a logs folder
in the Tomcat folder you installed. Search the web for "Tomcat logs
your_operating_system".

Oscar,

Looks like you are running other services (openhds) on this machine?
It's going to be hard to tease out the issue if you have other systems
running in parallel.

My recommendation is to temporarily turn off the other services and
reboot so you get clean logs, or find another machine that you can
install Tomcat 9.

Also, note that core team and the community in general doesn't use
Tomcat 9, so there is only so much support that you'll be able to get
on this list...

Hello Yaw,

I tried it on a different machine, installing the Aggregate without the
openhds and I am having the same error.

Attached is my log. I am going to uninstall tomcat 9 and try 6 or 7 to
check if I would have the same issue.

Note that there are special configuration steps required for Tomcat 7 (

When you do find the necessary configuration changes for Tomcat 9 (or 8),
please share with this list so that the documentation can be updated with
