Hi all. I like to use ODK Aggregate for Portuguese speakers, so I like to
translate the UI into Portuguese.
Is the most direct route translating the text in the source code and
recompiling?
Advance thanks.

Rather than go off on your own, the best way is to contribute the
translations back to the community. Yaw has found another service that can
help manage the translations, but, at the moment, until I get up to speed
with it, this is the sure-fire way to get the changes to me:
*From the recent ODK Collect release notice:
I generally make private builds for the translator to verify the
translations; updated translations will be in the next maintenance release.
And if you want a language that has not yet been translated, follow the
above steps, beginning with values/strings.xml (the english-language
strings). In the issue you create, cite the iso-639-1 language code for
which you are providing a translation.
