ODK Aggregate not loading

Hi
I have setup ODK Aggregate using MySQL server and Tomcat. It works well on the sever computer but it doesn't load from another PC not it does give any message. The server is reachable from another computer and I checked it while configuring Tomcat. Please share if you have any solution to it. thanks
Qudrat

When you ran the installer, you need to specify the hostname/IP address
that is reachable from another machine. Look at the URL that it is trying
to load. This likely changes when it shows the unreachable error page.
Re-running the installer to generate a war with whatever the proper
hostname/IP and port should resolve this.

thanks a lot Mitch,
I have used the ip address which is reachable from another PC. I also confirmed it after I installed tomcat 8.5.9 and it was reachable from another PC. But when I run the ODK Aggregate installer and do the other steps, it shows blank page when requesting from another machine. It works well on the server machine. I just wanted to update my ODK Aggregate it was fine working well with Tomcat 6.

And you stopped and started the webserver?

The newer web servers only scan the directory for WAR files when they are
started. Tomcat 6 continually scanned for them.

If this is the problem, then you should see the .war file in that
directory, but no subdirectory with the same name. Once the web server
detects the .war file, it will create the subdirectory with the same name
(and no .war extension).

I did not test with Tomcat 8.5. If stopping & starting doesn't resolve the
issue, try using Tomcat 8.

thanks Mitch,
yes I did stop and start the web server. I reverted back to tomcat 6 which is working well with ODK Aggregate V1.4.13. do you think tomcat 8 would improve the performance of the system? otherwise I'll continue with tomcat 6.

I did have a report that a ROOT.war would not expand in Tomcat 8 (but have
not confirmed that this is an issue). If you were trying to install in that
manner, try using, e.g., ODKAggregate.war as the filename.

There was a significant library update for this release and no testing was
done on anything other than Tomcat 8.0. Use Tomcat 6 at your own risk.

Starting and stopping the server should be faster in Tomcat 8, and
presumably performance has been improved in the newer code.

thanks Mitch. I started using Tomcat 6 and it works well now.

Just in case someone else has this problem with Aggregate 1.4.12 or
less and Tomcat 8, you must have add a context.xml file to your WAR.
If you use Aggregate 1.14.13, it automatically adds that file. See
https://opendatakit.org/use/aggregate/tomcat-install/ for more.
