ODK basic steps

Hi all, am new to ODK and finding my way around it. I will like to know :

  1. what to do next after validating the xlsform and it succeed without
    errors.
  2. I see publishing is the next step if am not mistaking but not sure
    how to go about it.
  3. how to set up and connect my database to store data.
  4. how to get everything working on my local machine without going
    through opendatakit.org
  5. how to do some customization as well on the interface.
