The 1.2.2 version failed to fix character set errors in the writing of
files, just in the reading of files. This fixes errors relating to the
writing of these files.
To avoid corrupted files, users of 1.2.2 should immediately upgrade to
1.2.3 and verify that the data files they manipulated with 1.2.2 do not
have any garbled text fields (i.e, export to CSV looks good).
Users of ODK Briefcase 1.2.1, please note the upgrade steps in the release
notes.
If you use non-Latin character sets, the upgrade process could be
non-trivial.
