Odk briefcase export

Dear all,
Can someone help out on how to export the data to csv once it has been pulled from the devices. To me, the export function seems not to be activated once I pull the data, choose the form, choose the export type ad. Csv. I go as far as creating a folder for the Export Directory, but what I am not sure of is the PEM private Key File : how does this work?

Thanks for assisting.

This is required (and enabled) ONLY if your form is encrypted.

When you create a public-private key pair, they are each stored in PEM
files.

You SHOULD NOT set a password on these files.

The Private Key PEM file should be treated as highly confidential (it can
be readily used to decrypt your data by anyone possessing it).

The contents of the Public Key PEM file is inserted into the form
definition file.

When you run Briefcase to export an encrypted form, you give it the Private
Key PEM file. This enables Briefcase to decrypt the form.
