ODK Build Translation Bug

We noticed an issue when using translations in ODK Build. The preview
(left-side) does not always show the appropriate question/caption
text.

It appears that the javascript used to populate the caption text in
the preview does always grab the text and ends up displaying "[no
caption text found]"

I've been trying to get figure out some steps the repeat the issue on
a small form, but have been having issues. The survey we were creating
was for French. Sometime, when you add or remove English using the
manage translations screen, the problem would be resolved. You could
click on and then off the question text under the properties on the
right and the left-side preview would then show properly. You could
then also open a different form and then re-open the French form and
the preview would show properly. However, it's been difficult to nail
down consistent behaviour.

Hi Matt:

In the View menu, you can choose which language is displayed; it's possible that I don't revert to the next possible option when you remove what's currently selected. I'll file that against myself as a bug.

Can you try selecting French in the View menu and see if that helps?

Thanks,
Clint

Hi Clint,

It seems the list under the view menu doesn't always load properly. On
our French only survey, English is the only language listed under the
View menu. However, under manage translations, the only language we
are using is French. When I add English under manage translations, I
end up with English listed twice under the View menu.

Thanks,
Matt
