ODK Collect 1.4.3 (1042) crashing while getting blank forms

I am setting up a new Collect/Aggregate environment with our own server. I have 5 forms that upload to Aggregate without error.

When I wrote them initially in April, 2014, they all downloaded to the ODK Collect clients on our phones and tablets.

With the new 1.4.3 (1042) auto update, any time I try to "Get Blank Form", the forms show up in the list, but, attempting to download any or all of the cause the ODK Collect app to crash with the error "ODK Collect has unfortunately stopped working".

I tested these steps on three different phones and three different android tablets with identical results.

I deleted the forms from the Aggregate server and re uploaded the forms. When attempting to download, the ODK collect app still crashes.

I tried changing credentials on the ODK client from a standard collection user to my gmail admin account. Still crashes on download of the blank forms.

I reset the Aggregate server and retested everything again. STILL crashes on download. The Aggregate application appears to run perfectly.

Where else should I be looking to solve this problem? Could it be related to some other Google Play utility that needs updated?

Thank you!

What version of ODK Collect were you using prior to the update?

What Android OS are you using? If it is 2.x, did you disconnect the USB
mount before running ODK Collect?

Does your device have Google Play Services installed?

Do you have a gmail account configured on the device?

Does installing / setting up either of these resolve the issue?
